Void sheppards: mysterious humans travelers who ply the deep spaceways and will assist stranded craft in exchange for hand crafted goods ( alcohol most prized).
Untraceable and fae they can repair most systems and provide directions through almost any phenomenon. When all hope of rescue is lost They arrive uncalled for and unnoticed, dock and knock, if allowed in, will assist as best as able, rendering medical, engineering and astrogation aid, scans will not detect their ships and barely register individuals. obviously ancient speaking in archaic dialect but still understandable
Sheppard boxes left beside all primary airlocks, with 2-5 bottles of bespoke alcohol, hand crafts. Never touched by raiders or pirates. Often found empty when ghost vessels recovered, with all crew perished, even those obviously "spaced" wise void born never anagonise them nor shirk the gift giving.
